Errol founded Pari Passu, an independent corporate finance advisory group.
Errol has advised major Australian corporations, professional firms and government entities. Errol’s proven experience enables him to be a powerful advocate for clients looking to structure and arrange funding arrangements that are aligned with their long-term funding objectives.
He was a Partner at Deloitte Touche Tohmatsu where he led the firm’s Australian debt advisory practice. He has over 14 years’ experience as a corporate finance adviser. His areas of specialisation include corporate and structured finance, property finance, debt restructuring and risk management

Tim Kitchen

Principal Consultant

Tim has over 30 years credit risk experience, across corporate and institutional banking, including credit origination, insolvency management and credit acceptance. His areas of expertise include corporate, project and property finance, debt restructuring, credit risk management and implementation of Basel I & II across the credit risk and audit functions.
He led Bankwest’s Credit Risk Audit function in Sydney until June 2012, which included coverage of HBOS’ Bank of Scotland International and Capital Finance portfolios, before Bankwest was sold to the Commonwealth Bank.
Prior to joining Bankwest, Tim worked at a boutique corporate finance advisory group for close to 3 years and earlier at both the Commonwealth Bank and Colonial State Bank for 25 years.
Tim has examined, evaluated and managed the credit risk of a wide range of Australian corporations, professional firms, large family businesses and loan portfolios.

Paul Goodman

Principal Consultant

Paul joined Pari Passu after over a decade in advisory and capital markets. He is involved in all aspects of funding transactions including the financial modelling, RFP and term sheet development, client contact, lender presentations and deal evaluation.
Paul was previously at Deloitte for six years, two of which were spent in Deloitte’s Toronto Capital Advisory team advising on and arranging capital for mid-market private and public clients.
Prior to Deloitte, Paul was at Macquarie Bank in Sydney in their Debt Markets Division focusing on debt and structured finance across the Australian securitisation, corporate bond, government bond and fixed income options markets. He developed and improved securitisation models and databases and also gained exposure to trading and risk management systems.

Paul is a CFA (Chartered Financial Analyst) Charterholder. Paul has a Bachelor of Science (Honours in Statistics) and Bachelor of Commerce (Finance) from the University of New South Wales.

Cheney Qian

Manager

Cheney Qian joined Pari Passu in 2024, where he supports the team in all aspects of deal execution, with a focus on financial modelling. In this role, he likely provides strategic insights, oversees project timelines, and ensures the accuracy and efficiency of financial models used in deal evaluations.

He was previously a senior analyst in Deloitte’s Assurance practice, where he was responsible for leading teams to deliver financial assurance and advisory engagements. In his three years at Deloitte, Cheney audited and advised large, listed corporations in industries such as financial services, manufacturing, media and retail. He specialised in the audit of valuation for debt or derivative instrument and financial risk management.

Cheney is a CFA member and a provisional member of Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand. Cheney has a master degree of Accounting from the Monash University.
